The Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF) launched the “Pets 2025” campaign, created by Calia agency, with the goal of raising awareness about animal rights and combating the high rates of animal abuse recorded in recent years in the Federal District. Although more than half of the city’s population owns pets, violence against animals remains at alarming levels, highlighting the urgency of mobilizing society toward responsible pet ownership and encouraging the reporting of abuse. In 2025 alone, the Federal District recorded 252 cases and 1,361 anonymous reports.
